PELÉ, GAME-WORN & SIGNED 1970 BRAZIL JERSEY
A Brazilian 1970 home jersey (yellow) with the CBD (Confederação Brasileira de Desportos or Brazil Sports Confederation) crest embroidered on the left chest, with Pelé's famous number "10" on the back in green. Tagged by manufacturer Athleta within the inner collar, no size is listed, but it measures to Pelé's specifications. The shirt shows solid wear with minor soiling, sweat staining, and heavy fraying to the back numbers. In addition to wearing the jersey, the football icon also signed the front of the jersey in black marker.
In 1970, Brazil won the World Cup for the third time in their history; notably, Pelé was in the squad for all three tournaments, making him the only player in history to win the World Cup three times. The Brazilian team of 1970 is often regarded as one of the greatest international teams in football history. Pelé retired as Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 77 goals in 91 caps, and his unfathomable 1,283 career goals in all competitions will never be topped.
