MUHAMMAD ALI, WORN PAIR OF BOXING GLOVES

A pair of red Seyer gloves with white lace. Ali wore the gloves during sparring right before the heavyweight fight against Ken Norton in San Diego on March 31, 1973.

The gloves, used by Muhammad Ali on March 31, 1973, were probably used by Ali on previous occasions since the condition shows profound usage. Accompanied by a signed photograph by Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton from the March 31, 1973, fight.

Condition: Heavily used, yet somewhat good condition. Cracks and scratches on the leather on several parts of the gloves and the Seyer label.

Provenance:Attending the fight was physical Dr. Jack Useem, who worked the corner of several championship fights. After the fight, both Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton gave the doctor their gloves. Accompanied by a Letter of Provenance from a family member of Dr. Jack Useem.
