1954 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD
A Golden Globe Award from 1954 that was awarded to Marlon Brando. Brando received the award for his lead role in "On The Waterfront." The award is made of gold-colored metal on a white marble base, with the front placard reading "To Marlon Brando / for the / Best Dramatic / Performance / of / 1954 / By An Actor / On The Waterfront / The Hollywood / Foreign / Correspondents / Association".
This was Marlon Brando's first major award for his acting. He received the Golden Globe on February 24, 1955; a month after, more precisely on March 30, 1955, he also won the Academy Award for the same role. This is such an important piece of Hollywood history as it was the first major award for the actor who is now widely considered as the greatest of all time.
Size: Approximately 9" x 3" x 3" in. / 23 x 7,5 x 7,5 cm total.
Condition: The gold portion is tarnished, with most of its luster gone due to age; also, there are some scratches on the placard; otherwise, it is in good condition.
