U.S. SENATE ID-CARD
A one-of-a-kind U.S. Senate personal identification card issued to John F. Kennedy. The card, which is signed by Kennedy, also features a photograph of him.
The reverse side of the card bears printed text reading: "United States Senate, This is to certify, That the person whose photograph and signature appear on the reverse side of this card is a Member of the United States Senate."
Kennedy was elected a United States Senator in 1952, with his term starting on January 3, 1953, which is the approximate date of when this card was made.
Signed material by JFK is highly sought-after; what makes this piece so much more than just a signed item is that it's such a personal item of JFK's that he had with him every day. It's a prime Americana collectible from an essential time of the upcoming President's life.
