ABRAHAM LINCOLN, SIGNED 1864 CDV PHOTOGRAPH
A very rare signed portrait of Abraham Lincoln. The photograph was taken by Mathew Brady in 1864, printed as a carte-de-visit photograph (CDV).
Lincoln commented on this particular photograph, saying, "I don't know that I have any favorite portrait of myself, but I have thought that if I looked like any of the likenesses of me that have been taken, I look most like that one".
Any handwritten and/or signed material by Lincoln is extremely sought-after, with the signed photographs being the crown jewel. In addition to being a signed photograph by Lincoln, this item has an exceptional provenance with a direct connection with the Lincoln family.
Size: Approximately 2.25 x 4 in. / 6 x 10 cm.
Condition: Overall good condition with three torn edges and plenty of scratches.
